TEAM USA- NCHBC

Sign Up & Registration Link Below info…

Each year HomeSchool Basketball Nationals in Springfield, MO features well over 300 Team USA sign ups!

Over the years Team USA has been expanded to Basketball Regionals & Volleyball Nationals.

Team USA serves many purposes.

1) Whole team is not attending
2) Do not have a team
3) Dual Rostering*

*This usually happens when a player is “playing up” due to their programs make up. In this case this happens when team they are not receiving a lot of playing time on the current team they are on. For these situations we always advise asking your team coach permission before signing up to dual roster.

Team USA is made up of Home School players from around the country. In many situations Team USA allows players to participate in an NCHC Post Season Event that they would not otherwise be able to.  Team USA was birthed in the early 1990’s in San Antonio at the 1st HomeSchool Basketball National Tournament.

In Team USA you can request to play with your friends or teammates. We have seen many instances were 3-5 players from a team that played together all year and a coach want to play at an NCHC Post Season Event but don’t have enough to field a full team, Team USA is a great opportunity for these situations and others.

Owen Gray Heart of a Champion Nominations

We are excited to present the Annual Owen Gray Heart of a Champion Award!  This award is different than any other award presented at the Nationals.  The Owen Gray Heart of a Champion is awarded to a player or coach who exemplifies the love of Christ in their life.  A Heart of a Champion deeply cares for their community and others above themselves.

Nomination Link-Click Here

Submission deadline: March 8 by Midnight

The award’s namesake and the first recipient, Owen Gray, is a student who learned he had Marfan Syndrome and could not play basketball or participate in sports anymore.  He took this hardship and soared on wings like eagles. He raised money for the Marfan Foundation, raised national awareness for the Marfan Foundation, is constantly visiting and loving kids who are ill, never focuses on how things are hard for him, but cares for others.

Owen will be once again assisting in the hard process of deciding a recipient for this award.

This year we are proud to once again award this to a deserving player or coach.  We get some great submissions for this award, and this year we wanted to share the amazing things these athletes and coaches are doing.
