2020 Award Nominations Now Open!

Deadlines–

January 24th (11:59 PM) is the Deadline for teams attending District
February 1st (11:59 PM) is the Deadline for teams attending Regionals/Nationals

Each team attending Nationals may make nominations. The nominations must be made in the age group the team is competing at NCHBC events in. This is important as only the Head Coaches in the age group your team is in will be voting. This is most relevant if you have a 15 or 16 year old player playing on 18u. When you make your nominations they will be for your 18u team, regardless of the players age. Any nominations made in an age group your program is not sending a team, will not be counted. 

Basketball Award Nominations

  • This is a Coaches Only Form, only the head coach or someone with the expressed consent of the head coach may fill out this form. Once the nominations are collected the next step will be a coaches ballot that will be sent to all head coaches attending your event(s).
  • Example: San Juan Crusaders (Green, II, White, etc)
  • Select Your teams age group. Please note, we do not take nominations from 10u teams.
  • This is a coaches only form and is only filled out by Head Coaches or by someone who has been assigned this duty by the head coach.
  • Your AD will receive a BCC of the confirmation email you will receive with this nomination form.
  • These tournaments are January 31st & February 1st, Not attending district is an one of the options.
  • These tournaments are February 20th-22nd, Nationals only is one of the options for at large teams.
  • New this year! There has been a major adjustment to the formatting of these awards, instead of the awards being done by class, they will be done by age group. A player who plays on multiple age groups can be nominated by the coach in each age group. The voters for these awards will be limited to head coaches in each specific age group. We do not have awards for 10u teams. Also enough nominations must be made to warrant a ballot. Each NCHBC Post Season event will feature: 1 Overall POY (Boy & Girl) (per age group)// 1-3 All-District, Regional, or National teams per age group// Each NCHBC Post Season event will feature the following awards for 12u, 14u, 16u, & 18u Boys & Girls. Offensive Player of the Year// Defensive Player of the Year// Point Guard of the Year// Sharpshooter of the Year// Post Player of the Year// 6th Man/Woman of the Year// A team may nominate one player per POY category, multiple nominations from the same team for the same award will be thrown out. A team may nominate up to 5 players for All-Tournament, however we recommend teams only nominate their best 1-3 players as many teams that over nominate confuse &/or frustrate the voter.

The 2023 Seeding Form is LIVE!

January 10th is the deadline for submitting the seeding form for teams attending NCHC Districts!

As posted throughout the website:

Seeding Forms/Game Deadline: For a game to count for seeding to an NCHBC Event, it must be played before the seeding deadline, dates below.

District: January 10th
Regionals/Nationals: January 28th
Results after these deadlines will not be considered/counted for seeding, with the only exception being NCHBC run Post Season events impacting the seeding.
